Welcome to the website of the Canterbury Provincial Fire Brigades Association (CPFBA). Our parent organization is the United Fire Brigades Association of NZ Inc (UFBA).
We have 49 Brigades or other Fire Service related groups in our current membership. Our Association further supports three Sub-Associations in Canterbury (North, Mid and South).
The CPFBA was established in 1915 and we have a proud history of tradition and service to our Member Brigades, the New Zealand Fire Service and the many Communities of Canterbury.
Our Association exists to serve the interests of its members and among its many activities are Competitions, Conferences, Training Camps, Field Days, the "Fuller Fire Flag", Golf, Rifle Shooting and many social events.
Our purpose is to promote unity and strength among and between the Fire Brigades of Canterbury, to encourage interaction between the Brigades and to provide a level of benevolent support where necessary.
